Lubricants for Cold-Forming

The ever greater variety of products manufactured by the cold-forming process requires advances in fluid technology to meet new challenges.

Rock Valley Oil offers fluids and lubricants to meet all the needs of today's fastener and cold-headed products manufacturer.

Machine lubricants - Rock Valley's waylube and EP Gear Lubricant series meet or exceed machine builder's requirements. Our new Ultra Waylube series utilizes unique additive chemistry to provide proper machine lubrication while also serving as a highly effective die lubricant in many applications.

Wire drawing - Rock Valley's oil based compounds eliminate soap powders in single or multiple draft operations on carbon or plating quality steels. Benefits include improved line speeds and surface finishes.

Die lubricants - Whether it's non-ferrous or stainless steel, small or large diameter, forward or back extrusion, coining or other forming operation, each presents challenges to proper lubrication.
